GPU Audio Delivers Accelerated Audio Computing for Automotive with NVIDIA

GPU Audio Delivers Accelerated Audio Computing for Automotive with NVIDIA

Massively Parallel GPU Architecture That Revolutionized Graphics and AI Now Transforms Automotive Audio

January 6, 2026 — GPU Audio today announced a first-of-its-kind initiative to bring premium audio experiences to automotive OEMs through accelerated audio computing. GPU Audio's patented G.E.A.R.S. (GPU Engine Audio Resource System) technology brings the power of GPU parallel processing to audio, enabling automotive engineers to implement computationally intensive features that were previously impossible. By leveraging NVIDIA DRIVE AGX platforms already designed into vehicles, OEMs can deliver advanced audio capabilities without additional hardware costs.

GPU Audio will demonstrate accelerated audio processing at CES 2026 (January 6–9, Las Vegas) with Multi-Zone playback delivering independent front/back sound zones in its Cybertruck lab vehicle running on NVIDIA DRIVE AGX hardware.

Premium automotive audio experiences—like spatial audio, advanced noise reduction, and real-time acoustic tuning—require massive computational power for real-time operation. While GPUs offer this processing capacity, they process thousands of operations simultaneously—fundamentally incompatible with audio's sample-by-sample requirements that DSP architectures are designed for. This mismatch has prevented developers from accessing GPU resources for audio applications.

GPU Audio's G.E.A.R.S. technology solves this incompatibility by coordinating audio processing across the massively parallel structure of GPUs while maintaining sub-millisecond timing requirements. The G.E.A.R.S. dual-scheduler architecture enables thousands of GPU cores to process audio simultaneously, unlocking GPU computational power for real-time audio applications that were previously impossible.

Soundscape for NVIDIA DRIVE AGX

GPU Audio delivers this G.E.A.R.S.-powered capability to automotive OEMs through Soundscape, a complete solution suite for NVIDIA DRIVE AGX platforms.

  • Soundscape SDK: high-level APIs that let engineers build GPU-accelerated audio apps without low-level GPU expertise.
  • Soundscape Platform Middleware: runtime engine supporting algorithm customization and OTA updates for software-defined vehicles.
  • Soundscape Modules: ready-to-integrate designs like Multi-Zone that accelerate time-to-market.

GPU Audio will showcase its Multi-Zone player module at CES 2026, demonstrating real-time spatial filtering that suppresses sound between seating positions. The system delivers isolated audio for each seating row with up to 30 dB of isolation—a premium audio experience requiring no additional component costs or speaker redesign.

“Working with NVIDIA allows us to deliver capabilities that transform how OEMs approach in-cabin audio,” said Alexander Talashov, GPU Audio CEO and co-founder. “Soundscape enables automotive engineers to implement features like isolated audio zones and real-time source separation—experiences that differentiate premium vehicles without requiring costly hardware additions or complex system redesigns.”
